Liberia President George Weah is on a four-day State visit to Cote d’Ivorie and Ghana. During the four-day visit, Weah is expected to meet with his counterparts in the two West African nations, Sam Mannah, a presidential spokesman.

According to the spokesman, the Liberian president will explore avenue for investments and promotion of peace within the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), as well as cross-border security issues affecting both Liberia and Cote d’Ivoire.

The leaders will also discuss strengthening of the bilateral relationships that exist between Liberia and the two countries.

Weah’s convoy consists of a number of key ministers including Samuel D. Tweah, Minister of Finance, Varney Sirleaf, Minister of Internal Affairs, Eugene Nagbe, Minister of Information, Minister of Transport, Sam Wlue and Trokon Kpui, Minister of State Without Portfolio and other key figures in his government.

George Weah took the reins of leadership of the West African nation in on Jan. 22 and has embarked on several state visits to African countries and outside Africa in a bid to promote investment in Liberia.
